One of the side effects of the advanced starships coming out of the kotaku project was that the new starships used far fewer consumables compared to the days of old. Enormous and ponderous supply ships gave way to smaller, faster and more economical ships like the kikako.
During the Patapsco War, they were able to deftly slip through zones of conflict, delivering precious supplies to defensive fleets and the moons they were protecting. Though they are not capable of carrying heavy loads, the kikako had proven its worth and will be a common sight in kikoku fleets for the forseeable future.
This ship is normally provided as shown in the first photo, with a basic transport pod. Different pods are available by selecting an alternate choice from the drop-down variant menu; see second photo. These are an armorer pod (top) or tanker pod (bottom). These replace the flat pallet unless you select the "all three" variant option, which costs a little more. However, you can then swap them out on your miniature as needed. (Note: The tanker pallet is from an old mold and may have some excess flash.) If you don't select a specific pod, you'll get the basic one by default.
- Note: Miniatures are supplied unpainted and unassembled. Paints, brushes, glue, etc. are not included. A photo of an assembled ship is provided with this listing for reference, but you'll need to put it together and paint it yourself.
- Basic metal stand pegs and plastic hex bases are included with all WHI miniatures. For size comparison purposes, stand bases are one inch across.
